Jack Ingram Volkswagen, in conjunction with Volkswagen Credit, is offering the First Time Buyer Program in Montgomery, AL to drivers looking to take a step forward and buy a new vehicle for the very first time. Volkswagen Credit, the only lender endorsed by Volkswagen of America, Inc, has offered competitive financial services and insurance coverage to car owners for the past 30 years.

One of the special programs offered through Volkswagen Credit is the First Time Buyer Program, which offers a loan specifically designed for first-time buyers. Applicants are not required to have a credit history, but any established history must be in good standing with no previous derogatory credit. Vehicles eligible for the program are new and near new Volkswagen vehicles, certified pre-owned Volkswagen vehicles, and pre-owned Volkswagen vehicles. The term of the loan ranges from 12-60 months. The program is eligible with Retail Financing only.

First Time Buyer Program Eligibility and Requirements

The First Time Buyer Program has the following eligibility requirements:

  • Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or a Permanent Resident
  • Applicant must never have had automotive credit
  • Minimum one year residence in the dealer's market area
  • Renting or living at home is allowed
  • Minimum one year of verifiable full-time employment
  • Monthly payment may not exceed 18% of gross monthly income

The following documentation is required to participate in the First Time Buyer Program:

  • Proof of employment and income
  • Contact name and phone number within employer's Human Resources Department
  • Documentation to verify address and phone number
  • Copy of United States social security card
  • Copy of completed and signed VW Credit, Inc. approved credit application
  • Two complete personal references who reside in the U.S.; one must be from a relative
